Updated:2019-01-03 15:36

A subsidiary wholly owned by ofo, a major app-based bike operator in the country, was ordered by Bao’an District People’s Court to pay 13.68 million yuan (US$1.98 million) to SF Integrated Logistics Service Co.

According to yesterday’s Shenzhen Economic Daily, the SF company applied to the Bao’an court in October to freeze one of ofo’s accounts in Tianjin following a logistics contract dispute.

The SF Express 2017 year-end report showed that the company was contracted to provide logistics services for ofo bikes and spare parts covering 36 cities in 15 provinces.

The shared-bike company was recently involved in contract disputes with several logistics providers and bike manufacturers.

Haidian District People’s Court in Beijing recently ruled that ofo pay 8.11 million yuan in fees and 86,100 yuan in overdue interest to Kerry Logistics.

The century-old bike manufacturer Shanghai Phoenix filed a lawsuit against ofo at Beijing No. 1 Intermediate People’s Court last September, demanding the shared-bike company pay for the bikes the manufacturer had been contracted to produce.

Ofo’s liquidity crunch intensified as crowds showed up at its headquarters in Beijing to demand refunds for deposits worth 99 yuan or 199 yuan last December. All rights reserved.  |  粤ICP备11016239号-7
